Along the way\, you’ll explore: \n\nWhere to find basketry materials\,\nHow foraging can deepen your connection to nature\,\nAnd how to prepare a few commonly available natural fibers for weaving.\n\nThis three-session class includes:\nSession 1 –The basics: learn an ancient twining technique innovated by indigenous folks in cultures all\naround the world.\nSession 2 & 3–Basket making meetups for skill building and troubleshooting.\nNo prior basketry experience is needed. Come ready to explore\, learn\, and create with materials\ngathered from nature.\nSupplies needed-please bring to class: Big darning needle\, small scissors\, a cloth you don’t mind\ngetting dirty. I will have extras you can borrow if needed.
